Jerry played basketball in college and graduated with a double major in biology and business administration.

He owned his own company with a friend for five years before spending four years with Smith Barney and JP Morgan & Chase. In his free time, Jerry helped coach and referee basketball.

​

At 30, he got his master’s in sports administration at UNC Chapel Hill. He then worked at various institutions serving as an assistant AD, associate AD and conference commissioner.

​

Jerry then worked in fundraising for many years before being named AD at SUNY Fredonia.
